What blogger wouldn’t like to make some money from their blog? But if you paste a bunch of ads all over your site, your regular readers might get sick of your blatant commercialism. How do you get the best of both worlds?
Kiltak recently shared a secret with me on this topic — and since he basically stuffed money into my pocket, I think it’s fitting that for my first guest post at [GAS] I share this little tip with you:
Find a few posts on your blog that continue to get the most traffic well after they were posted, and place a 300×250 Adsense ad unit within the text of the post, floating in the upper right. It’s important that the post’s text wrap around the ad. You also want the ad to blend in, so use colors and styling that match the content of your site.
The beauty of this approach lies in an understanding of the difference between the habits of your regular readers and those that visit your post later. By waiting at least a week after posting, your loyal audience will have already read the entry and moved on, so they won’t be bothered by the ad. By picking a steadfastly popular post, however, you’re guaranteed to get some click-thrus.
The pot gets even sweeter for posts that get most of their recurring traffic from Google. There’s a very good chance that whatever the user was searching for will be found with a nice blue link in that ad unit, right in front of their faces.
Caveats: Adsense TOS does not allow you to place images next to an ad unit, so you have to be careful about pictures that are close to the top of your post. o Filtering IPs via a .htaccess file seems a smart and logical step to take to prevent fraudulent activities from competitors (and there are ways you can find out their IPs, such as sending them an email from a pretended customer and reading their return headers).
o You can disable ads for your own IP to be safer.
• A very good measure would be to implement clicks limit (like 1-3 clicks from same IP for same ad a day).
When suspecting click fraud on your site, the first action advisable would be to temporarily disable the ads displaying on your site to prevent it from happening again and then reporting it to AdSense™.

Whenever some one starts a blog with a single goal of make money online through their blog, the first thing that comes to mind is Adsense. I ofttimes wonder how many of the so called gurus take the time to really read the Google Adsense Program Policies. And I wonder many times during my working day just how many people open their wallets to let fly their hard earned dollars to these people.

Here are Google's exact words, and I quote: "Do not create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content." What does this really tell us? Does it tell us that the PLR sites that sell thousands of the same articles to people who don't have time - or are too lazy - to write their own content are breaking Google's rules? Not hardly. Google is telling us that we cannot create what used to be called "mirror sites" (This is a Web site which contains the same information that is located on another site. If the site abc.com is the same as def.com, then it may be disqualified from listing by search engines) in an attempt to increase Page Rank and increase Adsense income.

Many opinions abound on the forums and elsewhere on the web discussing duplicate content. And many netrepeneurs have taken advantage of the misinterpretation of Google's policies to capitalize on this. Because Google has made this the era of content, everyone that is involved in the online communities is scrambling for the proper answers. I see threads that are three to five pages in length on the more popular forums with people agonizing over their fear of duplicate content. What a field day for the guru's! I wonder how many thousands - perhaps millions - have been made by people taking advantage of this fear factor?

Lets examine the facts. If there really was a duplicate content filter then many news web sites that publish AP or Reuters news would be banned from search engines. Many catalogue sites would go under, because they sell the same products, using the same promotional items as other sites. Affiliate sites would be banned from the search engines because people use the promotional items provided by the site owners. And even the giant eBay would go under, because anyone who has spent time there sees a ton of items listed which are identical, using the same description, same images, and same user ID. I wonder how Copyscape.com would handle this?

What about the sites that put articles and ezines in archive. This content ends up being displayed both in static pages and archives as well. Penalized for duplicate content, when the website owner wants to have his articles available to the general public? I doubt it...

Common sense is the order of the day. If you take the time to provide original and unique content to your site, the site is well optimized for the search engines, and you have relevant backlinks, then your site will do well with no fear of penalty.

Don't use article scrapers, which mirror the exact content of other sites, and is nothing more than a rip off. If you buy PLR articles, try to rewrite them in your own unique voice. If your budget will allow, hire a ghostwriter to create articles pertinent to your particular niche. And most of all, just use plain common sense!

While Wordpress itself is a robust and complete blogging system, to really maximize the software and make money from Google Adsense you'll need to install and use a couple of Adsense "plugins".

Most of the plugins can be found by doing a search on Google, and installation is simple and straightforward. All you need to do is upload the plugin to your web host using an FTP, and activate the plugin inside your Wordpress administration area.

1) Adsense Deluxe Wordpress Plugin

The first and most important is a plugin called "Adsense Deluxe". While this plugin will help you to display Adsense ads on your blog, it also serves other purposes. You can use this plugin to insert Javascript, PHP and almost any other type of code into your blog posts.

Unlike the Adsense Deluxe plugin however, the Adsense Injection plugin cannot display other Javascript ads or PHP codes.

The Adsense Beautifier plugin just makes your ads prettier. By adding an image on top or next to your Adsense codes automatically, the plugin can help you to achieve a higher CTR (click-through) and ultimately higher Adsense earnings.

One of the darkest nightmare for webmasters who use Google Adsense to generate 100 percent of their website income, is to receive a notice that their Google Adsense has been banned or disabled Generally, the notice starts out like this:
"It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the ads on your web pages. We have therefore disabled your Google Adsense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers."
If you account in Adsense has been banned, have you succeeded of getting it back? Or have you ever heard of anyone who gets his or her account back after being banned. And would their money is still there if they've gotten their account back?
It is understandable that Google are very strict when it comes to fraud. People who click on their own online ads aren't stealing from Google, they're stealing from the advertiser who has placed the AdWords Ads with Google. Every once in a while I read this message in a forum forums..just got "banned from adsense" ..now what ?? It makes me wonder what the person did to get banned. It was probably one of the following items. Here are the top five ways (in no particular order) to get "banned from AdSense".
1. Clicking Your Own Ads (Click Fraud)

3. Not Following the AdSense Program Policies
The AdSense program policies are technically part of the AdSense terms and conditions, even though they're listed on a separate page. This is where you'll find the information about how many link or ad units you can use on a page, what kind of sites are acceptable, etc.
4. Opening Multiple AdSense Accounts
This has become much harder to do since Google has added algorithms to detect "opening multiple adsense accounts" belonging to the same person or entity. Each person or entity can only have one account. If you have a legitimate need for two or more accounts, you must create a separate legal entity (like a corporation) for each additional account, and that entity must separately apply and be approved for a new account.
5. Ignoring Warnings and Questions From Google
Although certain events cause Google to automatically terminate your account, many terminations are preceded by a warning note from the AdSense team. This is your chance to defend yourself and to change your site/behavior in response. If you're not responsive, they'll just go ahead and ban you. (If you're going away for an extended period of time, you should check your mail every day or two and keep an eye on your AdSense earnings as well.
